Stumbled upon this gem in Downtown Marion on my way back from a business trip. Being celiac, I always have to be very careful about my dining choices, but the folks here at the Wooden Pickle served a delicious meal with special care to avoid cross contamination! Fine dining like this is a rarity in small town mountain communities! Definitely worth checking out!

Very nice place. Chill vibe.Clean. Amazing menu. I suggest coming with a group so you can look at everyones amazing plates. My waitress was Courtney and was very polite and helpful. I will be coming back. I had the confused mac n cheese it had a kick to it and was a.decent portion. My Moscato was $5 and was great. Overall experience was 👍

My family and I had our first experience here tonight with pickup for my sons birthday.. we ordered 3 southwest burgers WELL DONE, turkey club, confused Mac and cheese and southern chicken tenders.. I called at 2pm to place my pickup for pickup at 530pm.. After arriving at 530 I was told my ordered would be 3 mins came back then told 10mins and then again another 10 minutes.. by the looks of things staff was having too much fun drinking at the bar.. (which it wasn’t guests because of the covid) which that wasn’t the problem I have patience’s for good food but not what I received from here.. The burgers were red all the way thru after telling them well done .. the chicken tenders were like pieces of whole chicken breast.. so it went in the trash .. pretty sad my sons birthday ruined and good money in the trash.. so WOODEN PICKLE you got one star because I had to give at least a star to be able to share my experience... To let others know how bad the customer service and food were !!

Pulled off the highway for a quick dinner with the family and lucky to find this gem. The space is just perfect and the food and service were just as well. Try the Confused Mac & Cheese with Ghost Cheese, if you dare-yum. Hand battered chicken tenders were a hit and DBVienna Lager on tap - yah baby! Loved this place. You will too😉

My burger was dry the last time I went and the staff were kind of snobby. There is nothing special about the food. We got a really overcooked burger and fries and the crabby patty. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I'd rather eat at home then waste the money.

Phenomenal burger and caprese sandwich!!!! My husband kept saying the entire time he was eating “this is soooo good”. We have left the restaurant and he is still saying “man that was good bit was so good!”. I got the caprese but I asked them to leave off the chicken. I got it on a brioche bun. I NEVER eat an entire sandwich in one sitting but I did today. It was delicious!!! We both agree, we will go back!! Our server, Scarlet, was the best! She had a smile each time she came to our table and was there to make sure we had everything we needed. The only negative was the pasta salad needed more mayo.

We found the Wooden Pickle by accident. I'm so glad we did too! Everything from the atmosphere to the employees and the service to the food is exceptional! The good is delicious I wanted to try everything! Our server was so friendly, outgoing a nd helpful. The loaded baked potatoe soup and the street tacos were off the hook!Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Very tiny place. Was very busy when we went. About a 25 minute wait time. The food was outstanding. The have gluten free options. My daughter loved it.

Visiting from Virginia Beach. The portobello mushroom panini is the best sandwich I have ever had-the combination of the cheese red peppers and portobello is unreal. Cute atmosphere. The shrimp tacos were good and the white chocolate raspberry bread pudding was to die for. You have to try the truffle fries. This place is a gem.

Margret was outstanding taking care of our needs. The food was wonderful had the portabella sandwich. Highly recommended.

Baja Shrimp Tacos are to die for!! Also, white chocolate raspberry bread pudding is such a good combo of flavors for dessert! I love the atmosphere and everything I've ever ordered has been delicious. Small town restaurant at it's finest!

Was told to try by some people visiting Hungry Mother State Park. We were excited to try the food and I'm happy to report the food was excellent and the owner served us so the service was awesome. A very cozy atmosphere and even our picky eater ate.

Man, I sure wish this place was closer to us. We found this place while traveling south, and it’s a gem! Everything on the menu looks good, the burgers were great, as was the turkey and avocado sandwich. My wife said the fish tacos are the best she’s ever had. The service was awesome, very friendly and she remembered us from the previous week. Ask how they got their name, cool story. We liked this place so much, we stopped agin on our way back home.

Great place right in the middle of town. Although it was packed, service was great and the food delicious. Picture shows a salad with homemade dressing, a half turkey club, a chicken salad sandwich with pasta salad, and they were all wonderful. We have found our place for Marion Va.

Order the Pickle fries, they are so wonderful! We ended up ordering 2. Great drinks and beer on tap. The Sweet Water was fantastic. We had a party of 14 and everyone loved their food. There was not one complaint. The burgers were really good, pork carnitas, pizza....I can't wait to visit again. Definitely worth a try.
